The Lincoln Jazz Band is the premiere group of the Lincoln Band Program. Students in this ensemble will participate in concerts, masterclasses, and festivals. The Jazz band is for any student who has at least 2-3 years of playing experience or demonstrates the required skill set. Students will be exposed to many different styles of music and have the opportunity to develop the skillset needed to improvise. All instruments are welcomed in the jazz band. There is no audition. Jazz band runs from early September-June.
Rehearsals are every Monday, Tuesday (2:15-3), and Wednesday after school from 2:15-3:30. All rehearsals are mandatory.
